How it works

Run a whole estate sale — from photos to payouts.

Cypress turns a houseful of items into a searchable, priced inventory, then helps you sell it in person and online and settle up with every owner. Here's the whole flow, start to finish.

One sale, many owners

Most estate sales pool items from several different owners (consignors) into one sale so it looks full and high-quality. Cypress is built around that: every item belongs to an owner, each owner can have their own commission rate, and at the end the app figures out exactly what each owner is owed — their items, what sold, commission deducted, and the net payout.

That's the whole point of the platform: no more spreadsheets to reconcile who gets paid what.

Add photos — AI writes the descriptions

Pick the owner, then bulk-upload all of their photos at once — a hundred at a time is fine. The upload is instant; you can walk off and keep shooting. In the background, AI reads each photo and writes a clean title, a description, a category, and search tags — no typing required.

Items show up as “processing” and fill in live as the AI finishes each one.

Review and edit — your way

Every item is fully editable. Fix a description, set the asking price, change the owner, or assign a lot number — the AI even suggests a price range to help you. Each item has quick toggles to list it on your online store and to print a QR price tag.

Prefer a spreadsheet-style view? Switch to the Table view to scan everything at once and check the “Viewable online” box on the items you want shown in your public store.

See it as a table — and pick what's public

The table view lists every item with its owner, asking price, what it sold for, and status. The Viewable online column lets you quickly check or uncheck which items appear on your public storefront — handy for reviewing the whole sale in one pass. Filter by owner with the colored chips, or search by keyword (“green vase,” “oak,” “ring”).

Settle up — one click per owner

The Owner settlement table totals each owner's gross sales, commission, and net payout automatically. For each owner you can download a polished Excel or PDF statement, or email it to them directly — branded with your business name and logo, with a preview before it sends.

Sell in person — the Register

On sale day, open the Register on a tablet. Scan an item's QR tag (a Bluetooth scanner just “types” into the scan box) or type its lot number to add it to the cart. Apply a half-price-day discount or tax, choose cash/card/other, and hit Complete Sale. Each item is instantly marked sold at its price — and that flows straight into the owner settlement totals.

Sell online — your own storefront

Flip on the storefront for a sale and you get a clean, public web page — branded with your business — showing the items you marked viewable, with photos, descriptions, and asking prices. Share the link with your client list. Buyers only ever see the asking price — never your selling prices, owners, or commissions.
